How to get to Rome

Rome is easily reachable by:

Plane:

Leonardo Da Vinci Airport (better known as Fiumicino) is the main airport of Rome; it is only 26 Km away from the City Center. The shuttle-train Leonardo Express, rides you to Termini Station in only 30 minutes for 14 Euros (infos on www.trenitalia.it). From Termini all the public transports will be available (bus, underground , line A and B).
Another train leaves from Fiumicino Airport; direction: Trastevere, Ostiense and Tiburtina, the price is 5,50 Euros.
Pastine Airport (better known as Ciampino), were the main low-cost companies use to land is only 20 Km away from City Center. Cotral/Schiaffini bus drives you to Temini station for just 5 Euros one way (You can buy the ticket on board). You also have Sitbusshuttle bus going to Termini for 6 Euros. Travellers arriving with Ryanair, Easyjet, Hapag LLoyd Express, Wizz Air, Blue Air, Central Wings can enjoy Terravision bus: 4 Euros one way or 8 Euros round trip. You can buy tickets on the flights, at the Airport, on the websites.

Rome Commune established a fixed rate to intramurals Rome:
From Fiumicino Airport the rate is 40 Euros for 4 people maximum, luggage included
From Ciampino Airport the rate is 30 Euros for 4 people maximum, luggage included.

Train:

Rome has 2 main Stations: Termini (Piazza dei Cinquecento) and Tiburtina (Piazza della Stazione Tiburtina).
From both stations you can reach any area of Rome thanks to Underground and bus lines.

Bus:

The square in front of the Tiburtina Station is the parking for all buses going to the main Italian Cities or Foreign Cities. The shops on the square use to sell the tickets.


Car:

For travelers coming from North Italy , take the motorway A1 Milan-Rome
For travelers coming from West, take the Statale Aurelia and than the motorway A12 Civitavecchia — Roma.
For Travellers coming from the Adriatic Coast Rome is reachable through the motorway A24 L’Aquila- Roma.
For travelers coming from South, take the motorway A1 Napoli-Roma.
All the motorways above will meet the Grande Raccordo Anulare (GRA) from which, depending on the exit, you can reach the City Center or all the other areas.
